COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football will lose another source of tight end depth to the transfer portal. Sam Hart announced Tuesday he plans to move on as a graduate transfer this spring. The transfer portal for the winter closed on Jan. 2, however, Hart specified that he was making an early declaration for the window that opens after spring practices. Hart did not play in any games this past season and ended his career with no receptions. He played in five games in 2022. Hart has two years of eligibility remaining. He came to OSU as a four-star, top-400 prospect in the 2021 class out of Cherokee Trail High School in Aurora, Col. Hart is the second OSU tight end to seek a transfer since the end of the season.
