Ohio State veteran defensive lineman putting off NFL Draft for fifth Buckeye season

ARLINGTON, Texas — A key veteran on Ohio State football’s defensive line will return to lead with a fifth season. Ty Hamilton announced he will put off the NFL Draft to remain with the Buckeyes. He joins a line of similar decisions coming along the defensive front, as Jack Sawyer and Tyleik Williams have also announced they will be back for fourth seasons. Each one has done so with some variation of the same message: “Reload the clip.” “That would be special,” Hamilton said prior to the Cotton Bowl about a potential mass return. “If the guys come back, we thought we were good this year, but having an extra year would be a bonus.” In his fourth season, the defensive tackle from the Columbus suburb of Pickerington recorded 38 tackles (4.5 for loss) with two sacks.
