Ohio State’s NFL Rookie of the Year tradition will finally include a quarterback: Buckeye Breakfast

COLUMBUS, Ohio — C.J. Stroud probably locked up an extension of one Ohio State football NFL trend in the Houston Texans’ 23-19 victory at the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday. The Buckeyes hope he also started another era for NFL alums in the process. Stroud was already the betting favorite for AP Offensive Rookie of the Year before completing 20 of 26 passes for 264 yards and a pair of touchdowns. That victory clinched a playoff spot for the Texans, who are 10-7 after finishing 3-13-1 last season. That’s why they were picking No. 2 when they selected Stroud in last April’s NFL Draft.
