Former Ohio State quarterback criticizes Miami, says ‘chasing the money’ isn’t always right: Buckeye Breakfast

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones had some harsh words for Miami on Thursday on social media. Jones posted in the evening criticizing Miami, saying he felt bad for recruits headed there to play for the Hurricanes. “Man, I feel bad for the recruits going to Miami U for NIL,” Jones began. “bad staff, no stability within program and one of the worst college home game atmospheres. Chasing the money isn’t always the answer. But good luck” Ohio State, in the 2024 cycle, had two commitments flip to Miami: Five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott and four-star running back Jordan Lyle. The Hurricanes were also making late, frantic pushes to land the nation’s No. 1 recruit, and eventual Ohio State signee Jeremiah Smith.
