ARLINGTON, Texas — While everyone else focuses on Ohio State football quarterback Devin Brown’s future, he arrived in Texas well aware of his Cotton Bowl history. Brown notably wears No. 33 in honor of Sammy Baugh, the College and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback who starred at TCU. In 1937, Baugh earned MVP honors while leading the Horned Frogs past Marquette 16-6 in the inaugural Cotton Bowl Classic game. A mere 86 years later, Brown will coincidentally wear Baugh’s number in his first career start against Missouri in the same bowl. He hopes to make the same impression. “He was just a tough S.O.B.,” Brown said. “There was nobody tougher than him on the field.
