COLUMBUS, Ohio — As Ohio State was busy finalizing its 2024 recruiting class on Signing Day, freshman cornerback Jermaine Mathews put up a photo on social media. The photo depicted him alongside 2024 signees Aaron Scott and Bryce West in OSU gear with an Ohio flag in the background. The caption read, ‘Got the whole country on lock’ with the two recruits and cornerback coach Tim Walton being tagged in the picture. Mathews is often vocal on social media, but this time his words were a chance to hype Walton’s rebuild to a cornerback room by highlighting what is at the heart of it.
