Learn to love your woods: OSU offers forestry course for woodland owners


EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon State University (OSU) tells us they will be hosting a basic forestry course to teach owners of wooded property how to assess their trees, understand the ecology of their woods, as well as other skills to stay on track to provide enjoyment for years to come. Woodland owners can build skills for caring for their trees by taking OSU’s Extension Forestry’s Woodland Management course on Monday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to12:00 p.m. from January 22 through February 12, 2024, at the OSU Extension Office in Eugene. A full day field trip is included on February 26, 2024. The Cost to attend is $40 per individual, or $50 for two or more participants from the same family.
