COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State had to wait up to the very last moment to get word on whether five-star Eddrick Houston would still be a Buckeye or not. The nation’s No. 26 player and No. 5 defensive lineman had been committed since August but a late push by Alabama made it unclear which way he would go when Signing Day arrived. But OSU eventually was able to hold off the Crimson Tide as Larry Johnson signed his seventh-ever five-star recruit as defensive line coach. Houston joins a group that includes Nick Bosa (2016), Chase Young (2017), Taron Vincent (2018), Zach Harrison (2018), Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau (2021).
