Former Ohio State offensive lineman picks ACC transfer destination


COLUMBUS, Ohio — For a while, it appeared Ohio State football and Louisville might be headed for an Orange Bowl matchup this month. The Cardinals apparently got a good look at Vic Cutler through other means. The former Ohio State backup center announced Sunday on social media he has committed to former Purdue coach Jeff Brohm’s program. Cutler entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal on Nov. 30 after one season with the Buckeyes. He played 21 offensive snaps across four games after transferring in from Louisiana Lafayette to provide depth on an offensive line without much veteran presence. Cutler’s departure, as well as that of Jakob James, left OSU thin at center behind starter Carson Hinzman for the Cotton Bowl.
