Former Ohio State cornerback exits transfer portal to play for former Buckeyes defensive coordinator

COLUMBUS, Ohio — When Ryan Turner picked Ohio State as a three-star cornerback in the 2022 recruiting class he chose to leave his South Florida home to come north. Now he’s chosen to stay there even if he’ll no longer be in Columbus. The cornerback announced his intentions to transfer to Boston College on Friday just 13 days after entering the transfer portal. Turner spent two seasons in Columbus as the nation’s No. 341 player and No. 37 cornerback but was never able to work his way onto the field in a meaningful way. He’s played just 47 snaps in five games recording three tackles along with a sack that he recorded on a blitz in a 49-10 win over Rutgers in 2022.
