COLUMBUS, Ohio — Devin Brown’s over-exuberance led him to reveal earlier this week that he will be Ohio State football’s starting quarterback against Missouri in the Cotton Bowl. Ryan Day seemed to back up that expectation Thursday in an interview on 97.1 The Fan’s Morning Juice. “This is a great opportunity for Devin to take over this team and run with it,” Day said. “I know he’s very, very excited about that.” Kyle McCord’s entry into the NCAA transfer portal lifted Brown to the top of the depth chart. The only other scholarship quarterbacks on the roster are sixth-year Tristan Gebbia, who transferred in from Oregon State prior to the season as a start to his coaching career, and true freshman Lincoln Kienholz, who enrolled at the end of the summer.
