A transfer from Division II Fairmont State, Bonner was still finding his way in his first season with Baylor when the Bears took to the road for the first time in Big 12 play. Bonner would watch the entirety of that game from the bench as a healthy, unused substitute for coach Scott Drew. In a battle of two 12-0 teams, No. 1 Baylor controlled the day and beat the No. 8 Cyclones, 77-72, in front of a sold-out crowd of 14,267. Saturday, Bonner will make his Big Ten road debut when Ohio State goes to Penn State.
