Caesar's Better Bettor: Mizzou now favored over Ohio State as point spread takes a wild ride

Dan Caesar Usually middling Missouri vs. perennial national power Ohio State. Yeah, the teams’ upcoming game sets up as a mismatch in terms of college football tradition and prominence. But it also is one-sided in the way each is approaching their meeting in the Cotton Bowl, on Dec. 29 in Arlington, Texas.   To Mizzou, the Cotton Bowl bid is a huge deal for a long-meandering program that has energized its fans with a 10-2 record, the Tigers’ best season in nearly a decade. Eli Drinkwitz, the team’s coach and amateur comedian, is the toast of the state for leading MU to its most prominent postseason appearance since the Tigers played in the Orange Bowl following the 1969 campaign.
