Ohio State veteran running back declares for the NFL Draft


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s running back room has lost another member, but this time it’s to the NFL Draft. Miyan Williams announced that he intends to take his talents to the next level as the first Buckeye to declare for the NFL Draft. His decision makes him the second running back to depart from the roster, joining Evan Pryor, who elected to enter the transfer portal. Williams arrived in Columbus in 2020 as a three-star recruit who OSU flipped from Iowa State. The move was viewed as the OSU program settling for an in-state player after failing to find a top-tier option. But Williams quickly proved to be better than his three-star rating, as early as the Sugar Bowl win over Clemson when he flashed his upside on three vital carries for 21 yards.
