COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football coach Ryan Day said he respects Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz and has followed the Tigers this season after getting to know him through coaching circles. Perhaps he took a liking to Drinkwitz due to his sense of humor. As Drinkwitz neared the completion of a Selection Sunday interview with ESPN’s College GameDay panel, he was asked about matching up with Ohio State. The fourth-year Missouri coach had clearly come prepared for his sign-off. “Hey guys, I’ve for a quick phone call — Connor Stalions is beeping in here,” Drinkwitz said. “I’m trying to get some signals here, so I’ve gotta go.
