COLUMBUS, Ohio (WOIO) – The Ohio State Buckeyes have officially learned which bowl game they will play in after not being selected for the College Football Playoff. Ryan Day and the Buckeyes will take on Missouri in the Cotton Bowl Classic. The Buckeyes have not made the CFP for the second straight year after the Alabama Crimson Tide beat the reigning champion Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC championship. Without a playoff spot secured, Ohio State will be featured in a New Year’s Six bowl game; however the CFP will be expanding to a 12-team format beginning next year.
