Can Ohio State’s offensive line improvements matter enough to beat Michigan?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — For the first seven games of Ohio State’s season, the run game was perhaps the biggest weak spot on the entire team. Just once in that stretch had a Buckeye rushed for 100 yards or more (the Notre Dame game) and that came with a 61-yard touchdown run from TreVeyon Henderson — he had just 43 yards on 13 carries the rest of the night. But since Henderson returned to the lineup against Wisconsin after a month long absence, Ohio State’s run game has taken off. And that starts up front with the offensive line — and it might just be enough to win the regular season finale against Michigan. “We’re taking the steps needed to be a really good offensive line,” right tackle Josh Fryar said Wednesday night.
