COLUMBUS, Ohio — The email landed mere minutes after Ohio State football finished off Saturday’s 35-16 victory at Rutgers. Marvin Harrison Jr. spent much of that game on the quiet side, until Kyle McCord found him twice for touchdowns in the fourth quarter. By the third-year receiver’s standards, four receptions for 25 yards doesn’t move the needle. But those last two scores helped the Buckeyes move forward with a pre-planned rollout. An email from the program distributed to media featured a poster with two images — Harrison and the Heisman Trophy — below a new slogan: “Here Comes the Son.” No reason to run away from the NFL Hall of Fame lineage. The program, though, clearly hopes to explain to voters Harrison has more than name recognition on his resume.
