Could Ohio State backup quarterback Devin Brown have played Saturday at Rutgers?


PISCATAWAY, N.J. — Unlike several of his teammates, Ohio State football quarterback Devin Brown left Rutgers’ SHI Stadium without a bag of ice wrapped tightly to an ailing apendage. In his case it would have been the right ankle that Brown injured two weeks ago against Penn State. It’s the same ankle that kept him off the field at Wisconsin last week and on which Brown wore a heavy wrap when he returned to practice this week. Brown didn’t need an ice wrap because he did not play in the 35-16 victory. He also told cleveland.com he did not practice much in the week leading into the game.
