Rutgers football has a chance on Saturday. The Scarlet Knights (6-2, 3-2) have been dominated by Ohio State for a majority of their series, dropping all nine meetings with the Buckeyes since joining the Big Ten by an average score of 53-11. Rutgers has never held Ohio State to less than 49 points, never been within single digits in a second half against the Buckeyes, never really come close to threatening an upset. But with a strong defense, competent offense and four years of program building by head coach Greg Schiano, the Scarlet Knights are closer than they have ever been to closing the gap on Ohio State.
