Ohio State football running back will miss rest of season


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football will be without a piece of its deep running back room for the rest of this season. Miyan Williams underwent a procedure, per coach Ryan Day, and will not play again in 2023. Williams played his biggest workload two weeks ago against Penn State but did not make the trip to Wisconsin last week. “Miyan has done a lot of great things for us,” Day said,. “It’s a big hit for our team and that room.” Williams was OSU’s leading rusher last season, but has operated solely in a backup role behind TreVeyon Williams and Chip Trayanum this season. He rushed for 158 yards and threw touchdowns while averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Day said there is no decision yet on Williams possibly using another year of eligibility at OSU.
