Moral victories fail to sway grades for Wisconsin football in loss to Ohio State

BadgerExtra columnist Jim Polzin graded the Wisconsin Badgers’ performance in their 24-10 loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday night at Camp Randall Stadium: Offense: D-plus The Badgers managed only 259 yards against one of the best defenses in the country. It didn’t that one of their best players, running back Braelon Allen, sat out the second half with a left ankle injury. Allen averaged 5.0 yards on 10 carries but fumbled twice, losing one on the opening drive. Wisconsin receivers let too many catchable passes slip through their fingers. The most frustrating moment of the game for this unit came on the third series of the game: Wisconsin had a chance for a free play or at the very least 5 free yards that would have given it a first down at the Ohio State 26 after the Buckeyes jumped into the neutral zone.
