Perhaps no Omaha hockey player is looking forward to this weekend more than Dom Vidoli. The defenseman transferred after spending three seasons at Ohio State. The Buckeyes come calling this weekend in a two-game series that begins Friday at 7:07 p.m. at Baxter Arena. “It’s exciting,” he said. “It’ll be fun to have some of my old buddies back.” Vidoli, a graduate student, appeared in 58 games for Ohio State. He had four goals and eight assists and also blocked 51 shots. He didn’t waste any time getting on the scoresheet with the Mavericks.
