COLUMBUS, Ohio — When Jermaine Mathews Jr. stepped into one of the most high-profile situations of Ohio State’s season thus far, the freshman cornerback was as calm as could be. The way he tells it, it was just another day of playing football. The Top 10 game didn’t matter. The fact that he had to step into the role vacated by a potential All-American at cornerback didn’t either.
