How Ohio State solved its sack problem


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Four weeks into the season and Ohio State’s defensive line was still dealing wth the same line of questioning it had been answering ever since Chase Young walked out the door: Where are the sacks? Through four games Michael Hall Jr. and Tyleik Williams were the only players who had gotten one during a meaningful point of the game. Some of that was a result of the styles of offense the Buckeyes were playing. Indiana and Youngstown State elected to run the ball all game as a means to get things over with as quickly as possible. Western Kentucky threw it all over the place but did so in a non-conventional way getting the ball out quickly with short passes all afternoon.
