James Franklin admits Penn State got “a little bit away” from its identity at Ohio State

Three days after Ohio State held Penn State to a season low in points and total yards, Nittany Lions football coach James Franklin admitted Tuesday “it was not a good game for us,” referring to the offense in general and the play-calling in specific. Penn State gained just 240 total yards and didn’t reach the end zone until the final minute of a 20-12 loss to the Buckeyes, Franklin’s ninth in 10 games in the series. “We talked about staying true to our identity,” he said. “I thought we got a little bit away from that at times.
