Former Ohio State football star receiver arrested on suspicion of reckless driving


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State football star and current New Orleans Saints receiver Chris Olave was arrested Monday night in Louisiana for suspicion of reckless operation of a motor vehicle. As first reported by New Orleans Football’s Nick Underhill, Olave was taken into custody for driving 70 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone. As of 12:20 a.m. Tuesday morning, Olave remained in the Kenner (Louisiana) Jail, an employee there confirmed to cleveland.com. Kenner is where the Saints’ practice facility is located. The Saints told ESPN they were aware of the situation but had no comment. Olave is in his second season with the Saints. He started five of seven games and leads the team with 471 yards and a touchdown on 39 receptions.
