COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football players expect an electric atmosphere every time they travel to Penn State. Cleveland.com’s 13th annual preseason Big Ten football poll surveyed a media panel on which stadium offered the toughest road environment. While the Buckeyes’ own Ohio Stadium received nine votes, the Nittany Lions’ Beaver Stadium easily won the poll with almost double that many. Additionally, many respondents said simply playing Ohio State made The Shoe the toughest environment. Votes cast for Beaver Stadium, on the other hand, were all about the cacophony created by over 110,000 exuberant fans. Now Ohio State is actively asking its fans to ramp up their impact for Saturday’s pivotal game between the No. 3 Buckeyes and No. 7 Nittany Lions.
