COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Now things get interesting. Sure third-ranked Ohio State earned a nice win in a hostile environment at Notre Dame last month, but now that the Buckeyes are at the midpoint of their schedule, unbeaten in six games, the stakes only get bigger. Saturday’s home game against Penn State, also 6-0 and ranked seventh, will not only bring Big Ten title implications, but likely will deliver some impact onto the College Football Playoff. Each still must play East rival Michigan, which has won the division the last two years, en route to the Big Ten championship and the CFP both years. The Wolverines have swept both teams each of the last two years. Michigan, 7-0 and ranked No. 2, plays at Michigan State on Saturday before its bye week.
