COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s usually reliable receiver corps hit a snag on Saturday at Purdue. Marvin Harrison Jr. produced his typical 105 yards and a touchdown on six receptions in the 41-7 victory. However, he was also charged with three drops — as many as he had on 118 targets all last season per pro football focus. Julian Fleming committed a drop on OSU’s first snap of the game. Xavier Johnson arguably was guilty of one as well. One pass-catcher, though, came up with some big grabs on quarterback Kyle McCord’s behalf. Tight end Cade Stover totaled 53 yards and a pair of touchdowns on his four receptions and was the Buckeyes’ offensive player of the game. Stover had to work for a couple of those catches.
