Ohio State’s biggest weakness is Penn State’s strength, but Purdue win showed progress


COLUMBUS, Ohio — That, Ohio State football left guard Donovan Jackson said, was more like it. He and the rest of the Buckeyes’ offensive line had been striving for a game in which they moved an opponent around and blew open running gaps consistently. The 163-yard rushing performance in Saturday’s 41-7 victory put that progress on display. “We just saw looks that we liked,” Jackson said. “We put in a lot of work through the week to try to correct the mistakes we had earlier on in the year, and we just tried to put it on the field.
