COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State hit the portal this past offseason by adding Josh Simmons to help out along the offensive line. But could they need to do it again? Or would adding to the 2024 incoming class be enough? Ohio State currently has 16 scholarship offensive lineman, and only one (Matt Jones) is guaranteed to leave after the 2023 seasons. Enokk Vimahi and Victor Cutler, fifth-year seniors, have the option to return for another year. If Donovan Jackson departs, and Vimahi and Cutler leave, Ohio State will be down to 15 scholarship linemen after the influx of the 2024 recruiting class. Whether that’s a number the Buckeyes are comfortable with, though, remains unknown. With Ian Moore and Devontae and Deontae Armstrong headed into the class, but presumably not ready to play in their freshman seasons, that could leave Ohio State with just 12 available offensive linemen for the season.…
