C.J. Stroud’s having NFL start that Ohio State football desparately needed: Buckeye Breakfast


COLUMBUS, Ohio — C.J. Stroud’s rookie season with the Texans has gotten off to the type of start that suggests an Ohio State is on its way to some postseason NFL hardware for the second straight season. Everything that made Stroud a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year has quickly translated to the next level. He earned Rookie of the Month honors for September whilst completing 94 of 151 passes (62.3%) for 1,212 yards and six touchdowns. His yards are the second-most through a quarterback’s first four starts to begin a career behind Cam Newton’s 1,386 yards in 2011.
