COLUMBUS, Ohio — Notre Dame tried to do something to Ohio State’s offense that a lot of other football teams are sure to try later on this season. But they will have to do it at their own risk. Marvin Harrison Jr. came into the 2023 season as the nation’s best receiver and the best non-quarterback prospect in the 2024 NFL Draft. So much of the Buckeyes’ offense depends on what they can do when they get the ball in his hands. Notre Dame spent much of Saturday night accomplishing that. But doing so opened the door for Ohio State’s other potential first-rounder Emeka Egbuka to make plays. “If you’re gonna double him, somebody’s in a one-on-one,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said.
