Tom Snyder to become 'voice' of Ohio Stadium, Ohio State football in 2023

Ohio State Athletics has its new “voice” of Ohio Stadium. Tom Snyder, a Columbus resident and Otterbein University graduate will replace Bob Kennedy as Ohio Stadium’s public address announcer this fall. Kennedy, who had been the Buckeyes’ public address announcer for the past 20 seasons, died in May at age 59. According to Ohio State, Snyder was picked as one of seven finalist from an applicant pool of over 100 entries. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism in 2005, previously holding public address announcer jobs at Long Beach State (baseball) and UCLA (baseball). Tom Snyder will be Ohio Stadium’s next public address announcer for the 2023 football season. Snyder is the director of digital communications at St. Francis DeSales High School, while also being the lead broadcaster for DeSales athletics.
