Why does Ohio State only have three captains this season?


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State has routinely had six or seven captains during the Ryan Day era, but that will change in 2023 with only three earning the honor thanks to a significant gap in the voting process. When the Buckeyes finally decided on who their leaders would be, Tommy Eichenberg and Cade Stover were so far ahead of everyone else that it didn’t make much sense to try finding four or five other people to go alongside of them.
