COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s starting offensive line for the Sept. 2 season opener at Indiana is, more or less, established. Buckeyes coach Ryan Day said Monday that San Diego State transfer Josh Simmons will start at left tackle. Carson Hinzman currently has the edge over Vic Cutler to start at center. Josh Fryar will start at right tackle. Those three new starters join returning starting guards Donovan Jackson. Day also said true freshman Luke Montgomery will play this season. He has competed at the tackle positions. Ohio State came out of the spring with concerns about both its performance and depth on the offensive line. He expressed cautious optimism that the group as improved in both areas. This article will be updated.
