There are not many must get recruits that Ohio State Football needs, but the recruitment of Florida 2024 safety Zaquan Patterson is as close at it gets. The 6-foot, 185-pound defender is the last high-level prospect that the Buckeyes have on their recruiting board at the position. The misses this cycle were significant, losing out on KJ Bolden to Florida State, Petyon Woodyard to Alabama and Jordon Johnson-Rubell to Texas. Patterson moved up to the top of Ohio State’s list after those misses, so getting the No. 3 safety and 77th overall recruit according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, is extremely important.
