Where is Ohio State football ranked in preseason Associated Press poll?

Ohio State holds a slightly higher preseason ranking in the Associated Press poll than in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA coaches’ poll. The Buckeyes were ranked No. 3 in the AP poll that came out on Monday after being voted No. 4 by the coaches last week. Georgia, the two-time defending national champion that is looking to become the first program in nearly a century to three-peat, is also atop the AP poll, receiving 60 out of a possible 63 first-place votes. Two of the remaining first-place votes were picked up Michigan, which is No. 2, and another went to the Buckeyes. No other teams got first-place votes. “None of those stuff is going to matter if we don’t win early on,” Ohio State coach Ryan Day said.
