Ohio State’s cornerback unit has had a long-standing motto: BIA. That stands for “Best in America,” and for a long stretch last decade, OSU’s cornerbacks lived up to it. From 2014 to 2020, Ohio State had seven cornerbacks taken in the first round of the NFL draft. In recent years, though, the unit has not come close to living up to that standard. Shaun Wade, a fifth-rounder in 2020, is the only Buckeye cornerback to be drafted in the last three years, a reflection of the dip in play.
