Eight Ohio State Players Earn Iron Buckeye Honors for Performance in Offseason Workouts


Eight Ohio State football players have been named Iron Buckeyes for their performance in offseason workouts. Ohio State announced Thursday that wide receivers Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka, running back Chip Trayanum, tight end Cade Stover, linebackers Tommy Eichenberg and Cody Simon, safety Lathan Ransom and defensive tackle Ty Hamilton make up this year’s class of Iron Buckeyes, who were recognized for their “unquestionable training dedication, determination, discipline, toughness, leadership and grind.” congrats to our 2023 Iron Buckeyes pic.twitter.com/ZarMDbhFOl — Ohio State Football (@OhioStateFB) August 3, 2023 The Iron Buckeyes are selected by Ohio State’s strength and conditioning staff and awarded to recognize Ohio State’s best performers during winter and summer workouts.  Stover and Eichenberg are both Iron Buckeyes for the second year in a row.
