COLUMBUS, Ohio – Chris Henry Jr. caught Brian Hartline’s eye before he’d ever played a snap of high school football and now he’s the first member of Ohio State’s 2026 recruiting class. Henry earned an offer during a day camp in June 2022 and has steadily become a top commodity over the past year. At 6-foot-5 and 185 pounds, the Withrow High School prospect from Cincinnati possesses some of the same big receiver traits as Marvin Harrison Jr. and 2024 five-star commit Jeremiah Smith, and is a potential mismatch problem at X-receiver. Henry’s decision kicks off the 2026 class as once again the Buckeyes have started the process of building a top-five class in their backyard.
