Ohio State picked behind Michigan in preseason Big Ten football media poll

Ohio State has been picked to finish behind Michigan in Big Ten football in the aftermath of consecutive losses to its archrival. In an annual poll conducted by Cleveland.com, media covering the league voted the Buckeyes to end up in second in the East Division. Coming off consecutive Big Ten titles, the Wolverines are heavy favorites to finish atop the conference, receiving 27 out of 37 first-place votes. Eight media members picked the Buckeyes to win the Big Ten, while two went with Penn State. The preseason favorite in the West Division is Wisconsin, which edged Iowa by only a point. The voters’ confidence in the Buckeyes was higher at this time last year as they made Ohio State their unanimous pick despite a loss to Michigan the previous fall that marked its first in The Game in a decade.
