Kelsey Mitchell, Malcolm Jenkins, Nick Mangold, headline Ohio State 2023 Hall of Fame class

An NCAA women’s basketball legend is now an Ohio State athletics Hall of Fame member. Along with Ohio State football standouts Nick Mangold and Malcolm Jenkins, along with wrestling coach Tom Ryan, former Ohio State women’s basketball guard Kelsey Mitchell was named to the Buckeyes’ 14-member class which was announced Thursday. The group will be inducted during a dinner at the Covelli Center Oct. 6 before being recognized at Ohio State football’s game Oct. 7 againsty Maryland. In her college career from 2015-18, Mitchell was the fastest player in NCAA history to score 2,000 points, doing so in 79 games before becoming the Buckeyes’ all-time leading scorer with 3,402 points. She was the fastest player in Big Ten history to reach 1,000 points, ending her career as a four-time Associated Press All-American and thee-time Big Ten Player of the Year.
