Ohio State’s Ryan Day makes his position on the targeting rule known

Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day spoke with Fox Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt regarding the targeting rule. Day thinks that the rule should be common sense. Targeting reviews are often not cut and dry and the rule could use a little bit more clarity. Joel Klatt made sure to clarify that he was not questioning Ryan Day regarding Georgia defender Javon Bullard’s hit on Ohio State star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in the College Football Playoff. Day was not happy about the outcome of that specific call. Almost all of player safety is pinned on defensive players the way football is played now.
