COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State was just one Noah Ruggles kick from a shot at a national championship. After putting together an outstanding season, making 17-of-20 field goals, the Florida native missed a 50-yard kick in the final seconds of the College Football Playoff semifinals against Georgia. It was a heartbreaking end to Ruggles’ career and Ohio State’s season, but the Buckeyes are now tasked with replacing Ruggles and finding some new returners, as well as a long-snapper for the upcoming season.
