COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football knows more than anyone what a single loss can mean to an otherwise national championship caliber roster. Buckeye fans only face one more season of that reality. Playoff expansion to 12 teams beginning in 2024 means teams like OSU’s 2015 and 2021 squads will not be undone by one or even two regular-season losses. Of course the final four-team playoff season coincides with what some consider a fairly tough schedule.
