West also had offers from Michigan State, Penn State, Alabama and Georgia. Listed as 5 feet 11, 177 pounds, West is the No. 49 player and No. 4 cornerback in the 2024 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings, while being the top prospect in Ohio. With West’s commitment, Ohio State has secured the top in-state prospect in each of the past six recruiting classes, last losing offensive tackle Jackson Carman to Clemson in 2018.
