Ohio State football tight end Zak Herbstreit released from hospital

Ohio State tight end Zak Herbstreit has been released from the hospital, a school spokesperson said Wednesday. Herbstreit, a junior walk-on who is the son of longtime ESPN analyst and former Buckeyes quarterback Kirk Herbstreit, had been in stable condition at the university’s Wexner Medical Center on Tuesday while being monitored. The medical condition that led to Herbstreit’s hospitalization was unclear, though an update provided by his father on Twitter said he was being supervised by cardiologists.
