COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s month of June official visits has reaped its first reward sparking what should be a summer of checking off defensive needs on the recruiting trail by landing a commitment from Jaylen McClain of Seton Hall Prep in New Jersey. The nation’s No. 320 player and No. 27 running back chose the Buckeyes over 33 other schools with this win coming just 24 hours after wrapping up his official visit. This win comes despite them only recently getting involved in the battle after he earned an offer in May. Before that, Georgia, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Oregon, Rutgers, Penn State, Stanford, Tennessee and USC served as finalists.
